Inspired to share this experience with others, he teamed up with his college friend Pete Davis to launch the company in 2015. Originally named Getaway, their first cabin, Ovida, opened in southern New Hampshire near Boston, resonating deeply with guests seeking solace in nature. Custom-built cabins, ranging from 140 to 200 square feet, are thoughtfully designed with natural materials like wood, metal, and glass. Interiors feature warm Eastern White Pine and expansive picture windows that showcase stunning views of sunrises, starlit skies, and tranquil landscapes. Adding a nostalgic touch, each cabin is named after the grandparents of team members or guests.

Focused on simplicity and comfort, the cabins include queen or bunk beds with plush linens, a two-burner stove, mini-fridge, sink, toilet, and a hot shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Climate control ensures a cozy stay year-round. Outdoor amenities, such as a fire pit with a grilling grate, seating, cookware, dishware, and a curated mini-library, make for a seamless getaway. Guests are encouraged to unplug using a cell phone lockbox, while pet-friendly cabins provide dog bowls, treats, waste bags, and outdoor leads for a $50 fee. For added safety, landlines are available in areas with limited cell service.
