Chapter Roma
A contemporary boutique hotel in central Rome
Hidden behind an unassuming doorway in the historic neighborhood of Regola, Chapter Roma is a contemporary boutique hotel that captures Rome at its most raw, creative, and alive. Set within an old Roman building, the hotel blends ancient walls with bold art, industrial textures, and a distinctly modern attitude. Chapter Roma is not about polished luxury or postcard nostalgia. It is about feeling the city as it is today. Lived-in, layered, imperfect, and magnetic. A place where history, nightlife, design, and local life collide.

Overview
Chapter Roma was conceived as a new kind of Roman hospitality. Developed by Marco Cilia and part of the Design Hotels™ collection, the 47-room boutique hotel reimagines what accessible luxury can look like in the Eternal City. Rather than isolating guests behind formality, Chapter Roma invites them into the rhythm of the neighborhood. Ancient stone walls, Roman arches, and irregular room layouts are preserved and celebrated, creating spaces that feel authentic rather than staged.
Design plays a central role in shaping the experience. The interiors mix industrial elements, bespoke furnishings, and works by contemporary artists such as Cyrcle, Alice Pasquini, Warios, and Willy Verginer. Public spaces are bold and social, filled with art, graffiti, and conversation, while the rooms offer a calmer counterpoint. Simple but characterful, they are curated with international design pieces, local craftsmanship, and custom finishes that make each room feel distinct.
Food and drink are equally integral to Chapter Roma’s identity. Campocori, the hotel’s restaurant, takes its name from a long-forgotten medieval church once located on the site. Inspired by classic New York Italian restaurants, it blends Roman tradition with a contemporary edge. Hey Baby Bar acts as a social hub where guests and locals mingle from morning coffee to late-night cocktails, reinforcing the hotel’s role as part of the neighborhood rather than a retreat from it.
Above all, Chapter Roma is deeply Roman. Its location in Regola places guests within walking distance of the Jewish Ghetto, Campo de’ Fiori, Trastevere, and countless artisan workshops, galleries, and historic streets. The hotel encourages exploration, spontaneity, and connection. It is a place designed for travelers who want to experience Rome from the inside out, where staying somewhere extraordinary means living like a local, even if just for a few days.

“Chapter Roma is profoundly Roman. Rome is our heartbeat. It’s in the original bricks, the arches, the staircases, and the stories that surround us. We want guests to feel like they are living the city, not just visiting it.”
