Awasi Mendoza

A private vineyard lodge in Argentina

Awasi Mendoza is shaped around the idea that wine is best understood through time, not tasting lists. Located in Argentina’s most celebrated wine region, the lodge offers a deeply personal way to experience Mendoza, one that privileges space, quiet, and individual rhythm over spectacle. This is not a place of schedules or group experiences, but a private retreat where days unfold according to curiosity, appetite, and the changing light of the Andes.

Overview

Awasi Mendoza is located on a 55-acre estate in Luján de Cuyo, one of Argentina’s most prestigious wine regions. Surrounded by vineyards and framed by sweeping views of the Andes Mountains, the lodge occupies a position that feels both grounded and expansive. Its architecture draws inspiration from Spanish colonial forms, interpreted with restraint and natural materials that allow the landscape to remain central.

The seventeen private villas are conceived as individual sanctuaries, each with its own terrace, fireplace, private pool, and hot tub. Interiors are warm and understated, designed to encourage rest between days spent exploring. Whether overlooking vineyard rows or mountain silhouettes, the villas create a seamless dialogue between indoor comfort and the outdoors.

Experiences at Awasi Mendoza are shaped entirely around the guest. Private guides curate winery visits, tastings, and cultural encounters based on personal interests, allowing access to both celebrated estates and lesser-known producers. Beyond wine, days may include horseback riding through vineyards, walks in the foothills of the Andes, or quiet afternoons on the estate.

Dining is an essential part of the experience. Led by Argentine chef Hernán Zavaleta, the kitchen focuses on seasonal produce from the lodge’s organic garden and regional suppliers, pairing refined interpretations of local cuisine with exceptional Argentine wines. Awasi Mendoza offers not just a stay, but an invitation to understand Mendoza through taste, landscape, and time.
