Sterrekopje Farm
A regenerative healing farm in Franschhoek
Sterrekopje is not simply a place to stay. It is a living, breathing farm where rest becomes ritual and hospitality becomes relationship. Cradled beneath the Franschhoek mountains, this healing sanctuary invites you to soften your pace, return to your body, and rediscover a more elemental way of living. Here, the land leads, and everything unfolds in rhythm with nature.

Overview
Sterrekopje was born from a longing to create a space that feels warm, held, and deeply nourishing. Founders Nicole Boekhoorn and Fleur Huijskens envisioned something beyond the traditional retreat or luxury hotel. What emerged is a regenerative farm and reciprocal hospitality concept rooted in ancestral wisdom, feminine intuition, and a profound respect for the interconnectedness of all living things.
Across the 50 hectare property, eleven sanctuaries and suites are scattered between the historic manor house and lush gardens. Each space is layered with handcrafted furniture, one of a kind art, natural linens, and thoughtful detail. Rates include all meals, beverages, daily Bath House rituals, and participation in the farm’s daily rhythms, creating a seamless and immersive experience rather than a transactional stay.
Life at Sterrekopje follows the seasons. Mornings may begin with yoga in the yurt or a barefoot walk through dew covered gardens. Guests are invited to join the harvest, bake bread, learn pottery in the Atelier, or explore regenerative farming with the team. The Bath House and Apothecary anchor the healing offering, with rituals ranging from grounding foot ceremonies to sound baths, herbal soaks, and intuitive body therapies.
Food is an extension of the land. With more than 100 varietals of indigenous and heritage plants, the farm operates on a soil to soul philosophy that goes far beyond farm to table. Meals are seasonal, abundant, and shared communally in the heart of the main house. Fire cooking, fermentation, and conscious indulgence are celebrated, reminding guests that pleasure and sustainability can coexist beautifully.

“We do not offer stays, we create journeys for our guests. Deeply nourishing soil to soul journeys that gently and playfully help you sink from your head back into your body, back to wholeness, our natural state.”
